This site is hosted by her mother in memory of Fremont police officer Kathy Woodyard who died of breast cancer at the age of 32. After a mammogram, ultrasound, and needle biopsy, Kathy was told she had a fibroadenoma and could leave the lump alone and to follow up in 10 years. Her mother believes that breast thermography would have shown this was something to take seriously instead of waiting and delaying proper treatment. Kathy's mother warns that this experience shows that a mammogram, ultrasound, and needle biopsy are not 100% accurate in detecting breast cancers.
