About Us
In 1990, we embarked upon an interesting journey. At the time, our center was making drastic changes in the way we evaluated and treated patients. Our primary goal was to improve the chiropractic care we were delivering. But we knew that in order to provide better treatment we needed to identify the cause of the patient's problem first. What we needed was a sensitive and accurate test that could detect a wide array of health problems. The test would have to examine the body as a whole. This would help us to determine if the patient's problem was due to one major area of dysfunction or more. After evaluating many different types of analytical equipment, we discovered infrared imaging.

The addition of infrared imaging made a drastic change in our practice. The more we used this technology, the greater the benefits we saw in our patients' health. With time it became apparent that we had to make this tool available to the public. Everyone needed direct access, not just the patients in our center. With this information in hand, a patient's health care provider could focus treatment at the cause of a problem, care for a condition that was previously undetected, or outline a treatment plan for prevention.
Over the past 12 years we have been very
grateful to play such an important part in our communitys
health care. Discovering conditions that have been overlooked, or finding a potential problem far in advance, is extremely rewarding.
It is so gratifying to hear back from patients whose lives have been drastically improved. This is strikingly so when the condition is as devastating as a stroke or breast cancer.

Breast thermography has the unique ability to warn women up to 10 years before any other procedure that a cancer may be forming

On October 6, 1999, our clinic director, Dr. Amalu, lost his sister Robin to a 5 year battle with breast cancer. At the age of 47, she left two young daughters and the love of her life. She had faithfully listened to her doctor and had both physical exams and mammograms as recommended. Her mammograms missed her tumors, first in one breast and then later in the other. The sizes of the lumps were large, easily felt, and missed on the images. If breast thermography had been available to Robin she may have still been with us. If breast thermography was available to women on a broader scale, the face of this horrible disease would be changed worldwide. Breast thermography has the unique ability to warn women up to 10 years before any other procedure that a cancer may be forming. The technology may also play a significant role in the prevention of breast cancer. Infrared imaging has so much to offer in many different fields of health care.
Prevention of disease is the highest calling of any doctor. It is well understood that it is much easier to do all one can to prevent disease than to treat a condition once it has caused irreparable damage. Although this is the ideal, if a patient is currently struggling with a health problem getting to the cause will lead to optimal treatment. Infrared imaging plays an important role in helping you and your doctor in both prevention and treatment.
We are very excited to be able to offer this lifesaving procedure. It is our hope that you will make it part of your regular health care.
